Press-on cushion (band) tyres
Press-on cushion (band) tyres are what most Linde electric counterbalance and warehouse trucks run indoors. They press onto a metal band and ride low to the floor, which is exactly what you want on smooth warehouse slab. We stock these in standard and non-marking compounds — the non-marking matters if you're in food, pharma, or anywhere the floor can't take black scuffing.
Solid resilient pneumatic-shaped tyres
Solid resilient pneumatic-shaped tyres look like an air tyre but are solid rubber right through. No punctures, no pressure to check, and they handle debris-strewn yards without the downtime of a flat. They cost more up front than an air tyre but in a glass-strewn or scrap environment they pay for themselves on avoided punctures alone.
Air pneumatic tyres
Air pneumatic tyres suit the diesel Lindes working outdoors on uneven or mixed ground. The air cushion soaks up the bumps, which is easier on both the operator's back and the machine's drivetrain, and the deeper tread grips loose surfaces. Lower initial cost too. The trade-off is you can pick up a puncture, so they're best where the ground is reasonably clean.
Polyurethane tyres
Polyurethane tyres turn up on some of the warehouse and reach-truck applications where a hard-wearing, low-rolling-resistance tyre helps an electric truck stretch its battery further.
If you can read the size off your current sidewall — something like 18x7x12⅛ or 200/50-10 — that's the fastest route to a match. Can't find it? The forklift's spec plate carries it, or we'll measure it for you on a service visit.
A word of warning worth repeating to operators: don't mix sizes or types across one Linde. All the tyres on a single machine should match, or you'll throw out the handling, stability and load distribution — and that's a safety problem, not just a wear one.
