Liugong Forklift Tyres in Durban

Running a Liugong forklift and the tyres are past their best? You don't need to send the machine back to the dealer to get good rubber under it. ForknTire supplies and fits replacement tyres that suit the full Liugong range from our workshop in Pinetown, serving operations across Durban and greater KwaZulu-Natal.

We've been in the tyre supply trade for more than two decades [CONFIRM YEAR], dealing with forklifts of every make that works the warehouses, yards and ports of this region. Liugong machines are common on local sites, and the tyres they wear are standard industrial sizes — which means we can get you sorted quickly, often without you having to wait on an importer's parts queue.

What We Supply for Liugong Forklifts

A quick word on how this works, because it matters. Liugong forklifts are imported into South Africa through CES Forklift, who handle the machines themselves. The tyres, though, aren’t a closed Liugong-only part. Your 2.5-tonne Liugong diesel runs the same size and type of industrial tyre as plenty of other counterbalance forklifts. That’s good news for you: it means more supply, more competitive pricing, and far less waiting.

Industrial Forklift Tyre Solutions, Universal Fitment Forklift Tyres

Here's what we keep moving for Liugong operators.

Solid (cushion) tyres

Most Liugong counterbalance forklifts working indoors or on hard yards run solid tyres, and this is the bulk of what we fit. Solid rubber can't puncture, so a nail or a sharp offcut won't put your machine out of action. For a warehouse running shifts, that reliability is usually worth more than the slightly firmer ride. We stock solids in the common Liugong sizes and press them on for you.

Pneumatic tyres

If your Liugong works outdoors — a timber yard, a building site, rougher ground — air-filled pneumatics give you the cushioning and grip that solids can't. The trade-off is puncture risk. Where that's a concern but you still need the ride quality, we can supply foam-filled pneumatics, which give you the cushioning of air with none of the deflation worry.

Non-marking tyres

Operating a Liugong in food handling, pharmaceutical storage or any clean facility? Standard black tyres leave scuff marks on the floor. Non-marking (white) compounds solve that without giving up durability. We carry these in the sizes that suit electric Liugong units and reach trucks used indoors.

Getting the size right

This is where people come unstuck. The correct tyre depends on your exact Liugong model, its load rating and how it's used — a 1.8-tonne electric and a 7-tonne diesel are nowhere near the same fitment. Tell us the model and, ideally, the size stamped on your current tyres or rims, and we'll cross-reference it. If you're not sure what you're looking at, send a photo. We'd rather spend five minutes confirming than have you fit the wrong tyre.

Why Durban Operators Use ForknTir

We’re not the biggest name in tyres, and we’re fine with that. What we offer is straightforward.

We know forklift tyres specifically — not car tyres, not truck tyres as a sideline. This is the trade, and it has been for over twenty years. When you describe a wear pattern or a fitment problem, you’re talking to someone who’s seen it before.

Being based in Pinetown puts us in easy reach of the industrial belt across Durban, Westville, New Germany, Hammarsdale and out toward the harbour. Our mobile units come to you, which for most operators is the difference between losing a day and losing an hour. A forklift that can’t move is costing you money, and we get that.

We’ll also tell you straight when a tyre can still run and when it can’t. If a repair is the sensible call, we’ll say so rather than push a sale. And if a tyre is unsafe to keep in service, we won’t sign off on it — that’s not negotiable, whatever it does to the invoice.

How Fitting Works

No mystery to it. Here’s the run from first call to back-in-service.

Tell us what you've got.

First, you contact us with your Liugong model and current tyre details. If you can read the size off the sidewall or rim, great; if not, a photo does the job. This takes you two minutes.

We confirm the fitment and quote.

Next, we confirm the correct tyre and quote you on it. We'll tell you what's in stock and what (if anything) needs a day or two to source through our supplier network.

You approve

Once you approve, we book the fitment — either you bring the machine to Pinetown, or our mobile unit comes to your site. Most standard jobs are done the same day they're booked.

We fit it properly.

We press or fit the new tyres, check the rims for damage while we're at it, and set the correct pressures on pneumatics. Then the machine's back working. We'll flag anything else we spot — a worn rim, an alignment issue — so you're not blindsided later.

Areas We Cover Around Durban and KZN

We serve the greater Durban metro and KwaZulu-Natal — Pinetown, Westville, Hammarsdale, Prospecton, the harbour precinct, and out along the major routes. Mobile fitting covers most of this area; for jobs further afield, ask us and we'll let you know on call-out.

Beyond Liugong, we handle tyres for all the common forklift brands on local sites — the same workshop fits Toyota, Hyster, Linde, Crown and the rest. If you run a mixed fleet, we can keep all of it shod from one supplier.

What It Costs

We don’t list fixed prices, because forklift tyre pricing genuinely varies — and a flat number on a web page would mislead you more than help.

What you pay depends on the tyre type (solid, pneumatic or non-marking), the size your Liugong takes, and whether you need one tyre or a full set. Mobile fitting versus workshop fitting also factors in. Larger or less common sizes cost more than the high-volume ones.

The process is simple: tell us the model and size, and we’ll give you a clear quote — no hidden extras added at invoice. We aim to turn quotes around fast, because we know you’re usually working against downtime. Payment terms can be discussed on enquiry.

Questions Forklift Operators Ask Us

Yes. Liugong forklifts use standard industrial tyre sizes, so we supply and fit replacements that suit the full range — electric, diesel and gas models. We're a tyre specialist, not a Liugong dealer, which usually means quicker supply and competitive pricing on the rubber itself.

The right size depends on your specific model and load rating. The easiest way is to read the size off your current tyre's sidewall or the rim, or send us a photo and your model number. We'll confirm the correct fitment before you commit to anything.

Yes. Our mobile units handle most fitments on-site across the Durban area, which keeps your forklift downtime to a minimum. You can also bring the machine to our Pinetown workshop if that suits you better.

Common sizes are usually fitted the same day you book, subject to stock. Less common sizes may need a day or two to source. Tell us your model when you call and we'll give you a realistic timeframe on the spot.

It depends on where the machine works. Indoor and hard-surface operations are generally best on solid (puncture-proof) tyres. Outdoor and rough-ground work suits pneumatics for the better ride and grip. We'll recommend based on how you actually use the forklift.

No. We fit tyres for all major forklift brands. If you run a mixed fleet, we can supply and fit across the whole lot from one place.

We're based in Pinetown and serve Durban and greater KwaZulu-Natal. Mobile fitting covers most of the metro; for outlying sites, ask us when you call.
