Lonking Forklift Tyres Durban — Supply and Fitting

Running a Lonking forklift and the tyres are past it? ForknTire keeps your machine working. We supply and fit tyres to suit Lonking forklifts across Durban and the wider KwaZulu-Natal area, from our workshop at 6 Schenk Road in Pinetown. Solid, pneumatic, non-marking — whatever your Lonking is sitting on, we can match it.

A quick note on what we are and aren't. We're not a Lonking dealer and we don't sell Lonking machines or claim any agency with the brand. What we do is tyres, and we've been doing them for forklifts of every make for years. Lonking units are common enough on Durban floors and yards that we know the sizes they tend to run.

What We Fit to Lonking Forklifts

Lonking builds a wide spread of machines — wheel loaders, excavators, road rollers and forklifts among them — and their lift trucks turn up everywhere from container yards to warehouse aisles. The tyre you need depends entirely on where the machine works and what it carries. Here’s how we approach it.

Solid Rubber Tyres

For most Lonking forklifts doing heavy or rough work, solid tyres are the sensible choice. No air, so no punctures — which matters when your machine is rolling over offcuts, swarf, or a yard full of debris. They cost more upfront than pneumatics but they outlast them in punishing conditions, and you're not losing a shift to a flat. We fit press-on and lug-fit solids in the standard sizes Lonking forklifts take.

Pneumatic Tyres

If your Lonking spends its day outdoors on uneven ground, pneumatics earn their keep. The air-filled construction soaks up shocks and gives the operator a softer ride over broken surfaces, which counts on a long shift. They're also the lighter-on-the-wallet option to replace. The trade-off is obvious — they can puncture — so they suit cleaner outdoor environments rather than scrap-strewn ones.

Non-Marking Tyres

Got a Lonking working indoors near food, pharma, or a clean floor you'd rather keep that way? Non-marking tyres use a compound without carbon black, so they don't leave the black scuffing that standard rubber does. We stock white and non-marking options for exactly these jobs. Same fitment, same durability, no mess on the warehouse floor.

Mobile Fitting and Emergency Call-Outs

A forklift down is money lost, so we bring the fitting to you. Our mobile units carry the tools and the press to handle most jobs on your premises across the Durban area. For urgent call-outs we usually reach you within two to four hours during business hours, depending where you are. If it's faster for you, bring the wheels to Pinetown and we'll turn them around at the workshop.

Sizing and Advice

Not sure what your Lonking takes? Check the sidewall of the worn tyre for the size markings, or read it off the machine's spec plate. If that's faded or missing — and on older units it often is — we'll measure and verify on a service visit. Get this wrong and the machine handles badly and wears unevenly, so it's worth getting right the first time.

Why Durban Businesses Bring Their Lonking Tyres to Us

We work on every forklift brand that lands in KZN — Toyota, Hyster, Linde, Crown and the rest — so a Lonking is familiar territory. That cross-brand experience means we’re matching the tyre to the job, not guessing.

Honest assessment is the part our customers actually remember. When we inspect a tyre, we tell you whether it can be repaired or whether safety says replace it. We’re not going to sell you four new tyres when one repair will do, and we’re not going to patch something that should come off. That straightforwardness is why the repeat business keeps coming.

Everything’s local. We’re a KZN operation that understands how machines get worked here — the heat, the dust, the yards that chew tyres for breakfast. We stock for South African conditions because that’s the only condition we work in.

And we keep you running. Between mobile fitting, the Pinetown workshop, and a supplier network that can source less common sizes within a few days, downtime stays short.

How Ordering Works

It’s not complicated, and we’ve kept it that way on purpose.

You call or message us.

Tell us the forklift — make is helpful, the tyre size more so — and what it's being used for. If you've got the size off the sidewall, even better. Takes a couple of minutes.

We quote.

Once we know the size and type, we come back with pricing on the right tyre for the job. If we need to verify the size, we'll arrange that first rather than guess.

We fit.

Either we come to your site with the mobile unit, or you bring the wheels to Pinetown. Most fits are done same visit. We balance and mount properly so the machine runs true.

We hand it back with advice.

For pneumatics we'll talk you through pressure checks; for solids, what wear to watch for. Looking after them properly is the cheapest way to extend tyre life.

Areas We Cover Around Durban and KZN

Further afield in KZN, get in touch and we'll confirm what we can do and how quickly.

What Lonking Forklift Tyres Cost

There’s no single price, and any supplier quoting one without knowing your machine is guessing. What you’ll pay depends on a few things: the size, whether you’re after solid, pneumatic or non-marking, and whether you want new or one of our inspected used tyres. A small warehouse unit and a heavy outdoor machine are different numbers entirely.

New solids cost more than pneumatics upfront but last longer in tough conditions, so the real cost is what you spend over the tyre’s working life, not just the sticker. Used tyres — properly inspected and graded — are there if budget’s tight and the application allows it.

Tell us the size and the job and we’ll quote quickly. No obligation, and no padding the bill with tyres you don’t need.

Lonking Forklift Tyre FAQs

Tyres only. We're an independent forklift tyre specialist, not a Lonking dealer or agent. We supply and fit tyres that suit Lonking forklifts, the same as we do for every other brand on Durban floors.

It depends on the model and capacity. The size is marked on the sidewall of your current tyre, or on the machine's spec plate. Send us that and we'll match it — or we'll measure it on a service visit if the markings have worn away.

Solids for heavy, rough or debris-heavy work where punctures cost you shifts. Pneumatics for outdoor jobs on uneven but cleaner ground, where the cushioned ride matters and the surface won't shred them. We'll advise based on where the machine actually works.

Yes. Our mobile units handle most fitting jobs on site across the Durban area, so the forklift doesn't have to leave your yard. Alternatively, drop the wheels at our Pinetown workshop.

For call-outs in the Durban area we usually arrive within two to four hours during business hours, depending on your location. Phone us and we'll give you a realistic time.

We do. Non-marking tyres avoid the black scuffing standard rubber leaves, which makes them right for food, pharmaceutical and clean-floor environments. Same fitment and durability, no marks.

Yes, where the application suits them. Every used tyre we sell is inspected for tread, structure and overall condition first — we don't sell anything that won't run safely.
